By now, I am sure that you have read many ‘what a year 2020 was’ blogs. However, have you read blogs where the information is taken directly from the horse’s mouth?

Here at Precision Sourcing, we run a yearly talent survey and we have the opportunity to speak to the local Australian SAP market to gain insight around their drivers, dreams, technology passions and where their employers can improve. This years survey did not disappoint and as you can imagine, people had a lot to say.
Therefore, we have collated the data and put together a quick overview of some of the best, and worst company reactions to COVID19.
Company Strategies
- They were flexible, practical, and reasonable.
- They showed that they trust people to operate remotely, they invest in improved technology and supported my home infrastructure
- Well planned – adapted frequently based on what is happening state by state – genuinely care about staff well being
- My company acted very quickly to mobilise remote working. Shipped all the tools need to my place of work. Provided remote assistance required and also setup townhalls on a regular basis to check-in on the wellbeing of their staff
- Working remotely is more convenient and reduces traveling time, however, the downside is that I am working more hours.
- Work/ life imbalance
Generally, the feeling was that companies were quick to move to remote working and they adjusted wellbeing tactics to suit their workforce…. However, some people suffered cancelled projects, unclear communication, a blur between work/life and burn out.
