The Australian 2017 SAP Talent Survey
We recently conducted a survey of the local SAP talent pool here in Australia. We had nearly 200 people answer questions ranging from drivers when selecting an employer, to if being SAP certified adds value to their wider role.
The insights are fascinating for anyone in a senior leadership position within the world of SAP.
Objective: To offer SAP Australia insight into the Australian SAP talent market from a recent survey that Precision Sourcing coordinated.
65.08% of the Australian SAP workforce are contractors
59.52% of the Australian SAP workforce are SAP certified
However, 59.84% do not believe being certified adds any value to their current role
15.1% perceive Microsoft Dynamics to be SAP’s main competitor in Australia whilst just over 14% suggest Salesforce
81.75% of the Australian SAP workforce is positive about SAP’s future growth prospects in Australia?
76.61% of the SAP workforce feel that they are currently remunerated fairly and correctly compared to the wider SAP market
Over 80% of SAP resources have 10+ years SAP experience
41% of SAP resources begun their SAP career via an internal opportunity
76.19% of SAP resources in Australia originate from overseas
The social tool SAP resources are most active on is Linked-In at 69%
37% of SAP resources used a staffing agency to source their current position
83% of SAP resources state they will be actively looking for their next position within the next 12 months
For SAP resources the number one driver when selecting a potential employer is technology and project.
